The Cameroonian Edwin Eselem designated Public Relations and Communications Lead at the Basketball Association League (NBA Africa)

[CamerExcellence] – The Cameroonian Edwin Eselem is since January 2022 the Public Relations and Communications Lead at the Basketball Association League (NBA Africa).

Today, the former Communication Transformation Manager of Orange Cameroon is working in Dakar, Senegal.

Recruited by NBA, Edwin Eselem reports directly to the Vice President and Head of Strategy and Operations of the BAL. He will oversee the strategy and execution of the BAL’s communications to increase fan and media attendance at BAL games/events, ensure media coverage of the league, develop the league’s audience and provide the media with a professional in-stadium experience on game days.

His responsibilities include setting the overall BAL communications strategy, overseeing all commercial and on-field communications, developing press releases and messages, securing media coverage in Africa on an ongoing basis, liaising with internal stakeholders, teams, partners and the media, executing league events on-site and preparing executives.

Edwin Eselem is an excellent Brand and Communications Professional with experience in marketing communications, brand building and brand assets like Football, Music, Cinema Comedy and Esports.

He has 17 years of experience in operation and management in Europe and Africa with a strong focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. He also gets a track record of achieving team-driven success in cross-functional communication projects, events and partnerships.

Edwin Eselem is a graduate of the University of Buea in Cameroon. He holds a Master of Science in Corporate Communications and a Bachelor of Science (with honours) in Journalism and Mass Communication. He is now the Public Relations and Communications Lead at the Basketball Africa League (NBA Africa), the Africa branch of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
